Safety Jordan Fuller Agrees to Deal with Panthers

Carolina adds to its secondary.

The Carolina Panthers filled another hole on its defense early Friday evening, agreeing to a one-year deal with free agent safety Jordan Fuller. The news was first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Fuller, 26, spent the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Rams where he was a tackling machine, picking up 279 tackles to go along with 17 passes defended, seven interceptions, and four forced fumbles. He was among the Rams' top five tacklers in all three seasons in which he was healthy. Fuller missed 14 games in 2022 with an ankle injury.

Earlier in the week, the team decided to move on from Vonn Bell after just one season. He didn't sit around without a home for long, signing back with the Cincinnati Bengals shortly after his release.

Fuller and Xavier Woods will man down the back end in Ejiro Evero's defense, a system that Fuller is familiar with spending two years with the Panthers' defensive coordinator in Los Angeles.
