Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots Prediction for NFL Week 10

Both clubs are experiencing disappointing seasons; the Pats have struggled, going 2-7, while Indianapolis lost Anthony Richardson early in the season, forcing them to start Gardner Minshew for the remainder of the campaign. Even though New England's offense has been inconsistent, it’s smart to support them in this international spot. The Colts have won just once in their previous four games, and that victory came against the lowly Panthers.

The Colts had conceded at least 37 points in three straight games before their Week 9 matchup with the Panthers. They were outgained even against Carolina, and their victory was merely because Bryce Young threw three interceptions, including two pick-sixes. Thankfully, the Patriots' offense has somewhat steadied, and remember, this is a squad that upset Buffalo a few weeks back. Their five previous losses were all very close games, except for the nasty ones against Dallas and New Orleans. I believe Minshew will struggle once more in this game because he has turned the ball over a staggering nine times in his last four games and because Bill Belichick's defense has been strong thus far this season. Because of that, our Colts vs. Patriots prediction is on Patriots +1.5.

Colts vs. Patriots Player Prop Picks & Best Bets Including Rhamondre Stevenson and Michael Pittman

Besides our Colts vs. Patriots prediction, our expert also has two Colts vs. Patriots player prop bets to lock in as well. Our expert focused on Rhamondre Stevenson for the Patriots and Michael Pittman for the Colts, and you can make both of these bets at FanDuel Sportsbook, which has the best odds.

Rhamondre Stevenson Over 3.5 Receptions (+112)

It’s no secret that the Patriots offense hasn’t been good. Mac Jones doesn’t seem like the quarterback of the future and several of Jones’ top receivers have been sidelined with injuries, like Kendrick Bourne. However, one steady part of New England’s offense has been Rhamondre Stevenson. The powerful running back had a quiet start to the season, but he’s been more involved in the offense in the last few weeks. Stevenson exploded for 87 rush yards on just nine carries last week, so I’m expecting him to be heavily involved in Week 10. But since Indianapolis has an excellent defensive line, I’m shifting to his receptions line since I expect Jones to dump it off to him throughout the game.

Michael Pittman Over 66.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

One area of New England’s defense that the Colts will try to exploit is their secondary. Bill Belichick announced that JC Jackson and Jack Jones will not play in Sunday’s matchup due to off-the-field reasons. It appears that the cornerbacks were late to the team hotel, and because of that, Belichick will sit both of them. That leaves New England’s secondary incredibly vulnerable and extremely thin. Although Gardner Minshew hasn’t been great this season, he should be able to find his favorite target, Michael Pittman, throughout the game in New England’s depleted secondary.

Patriots ROTY: Any Candidates?

The only candidate that the Patriots had for a Rookie of the Year award was Christian Gonzalez, but the cornerback suffered a torn labrum a few weeks ago which will sideline him for the remainder of the season. Besides him, the Patriots do not have another rookie in consideration for the Offensive or Defensive Rookie of the Year awards.
