Former New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon has been claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks, according to the MMQB's Albert Breer.

The waiver claims processed at 4 p.m. on Friday, and it appears that 27 teams did not put in a claim for Gordon, as Seattle was No. 28 in waiver priority.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was asked if he was surprised about Gordon falling to Seattle on waivers, and his response was "Yeah, yeah, I am," per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Gordon will get his first opportunity to play for the Seahawks in Week 10.
