The New England Patriots and All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown, who was released by the Oakland Raiders earlier today, have agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal with a $9 million signing bonus, according to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter.

Wow. The Patriots managed to sign arguably the NFL's best wide receiver the same day he is released by the Raiders because of constant issues with the 31-year-old Brown.

Brown is not eligible to play in the Patriots' season-opener vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night because he had to be on a roster by 4pm this evening in order to be eligible to play in Week 1. Rest assure, he will be locked in for New England's Week 2 game vs. the Miami Dolphins.

New England's projected starting record group now consists of Brown, Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman. Yet another lethal weapon added to Tom Brady's arsenal.
