Patriots Passion: Davon Godchaux Marries Victoria's Secret Model
At least one New England Patriot was able to keep the team's tradition of earning rings in February alive in 2024.
Defensive lineman Davon Godchaux recently signed a different kind of free agent contract, set for a lifetime deal with former Victoria's Secret model Chanel Iman.
According to a wedding feature with Vogue, the couple officially tied the knot in a civil ceremony in New York in January before eloping in Anguilla and setting sail on a yacht on the Caribbean Sea over the weekend. Iman documented the nuptial journey on her Instagram page, referring to the celebration as "a moment we both been waiting for."
“We couldn’t wait for football season to be over so we can complete our union,” Iman told Vogue's Alexandra Macon. “We planned the wedding the way we desired—doing something together that we love with our kids and our blended family."
Godchaux and Iman began dating in 2022 and were engaged shortly after welcoming their first child, a girl named Capri Summer after the Italian island where the Patriot popped the question, last year. Iman also has two daughters from a prior marriage with New York Giants receiver Sterling Shepard while Godchaux is the father of a 7-year-old, Davon II.
The 29-year-old Godchaux is set to enter his fourth season with the Patriots after entering the league as a fifth-round pick of Miami's in 2017. The Plaquemine, LA native will play next year in the latter season of a two-year contract extension.
Through three years in Foxborough, Godchaux has tallied 183 tackles and nine quarterback hits. Godchaux is one of two players (along with Adrian Phillips) to appear in all 51 Patriots games over the last three seasons.
