Patriots Pipedream?: Titans RB Derrick Henry Curious About New England?

The New England Patriots had a breakout season from Rhamondre Stevenson at running back. But with Derrick Henry available will they consider picking up the phone?

Are the New England Patriots contemplating trading for Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry?

Even with Rhamondre Stevenson breaking out last season as the team's top running back, Henry is reportedly available as the Titans are looking at trades packages. While no information has come out about any interest from Foxboro in the former Heisman winner, Henry expressed his love for New England in February.

During the Pro Bowl, the two-time rushing leader asked Patriots' star edge rusher and lead recruiter Matthew Judon "How you like it in New England?"

To which Judon responded, "I love it, actually."

What was said after that? Only the Patriots' social media team knows, as the clip was used in their video of Judon mic'd up during a practice for the Pro Bowl.

Nothing concrete seems to be tying Henry to the Patriots, and it appears to be a pipedream at this point. But if the Patriots decide to pursue Henry in a trade, that can be considered unlikely. But what if?...

Assuming the Patriots wouldn't have to give up Stevenson as part of the deal, they'd pair one of the top backs in the league with an up-and-comer. Henry has been a bell cow for the Titans, racking up over 300 carries in 2022 for the third time in his career.

Henry rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns on 349 carries as he played in 16 games. It was a bounce-back season for Henry, who only played in eight games due to injury.

Yet, at 29 years old, the Titans are now trying to move on from their workhorse.
