DeAndre Hopkins Watching Patriots Highlights - Teasing Signing with New England?

The New England Patriots are believed to be contenders for the signature of free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins following his release from the Arizona Cardinals.

The DeAndre Hopkins saga continues following his release from the Arizona Cardinals on Friday. Since being let go, Hopkins has had plenty of suitors lining up for his services on social media, in the form of shoutouts from players including New England Patriots linebacker Mack Wilson.

Additionally, with the intrigue of where the former All-Pro will land next, Hopkins is joining in on the social media fun. The NFL's hottest free agent posted a video of a TV in a gym showing clips from the Patriots' Super Bowl 51 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Whether or not it means anything, Hopkins knows the message of hope that this video has given Patriots fans. Adding more playmakers was a major goal of the offseason for the Patriots, and despite adding JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mike Gesicki, New England can still use Hopkins.

The five-time All-Pro still can be that 1,000-yard receiver if he can stay on the field, something that's been an issue as of late. Injuries hindered him in 2021, as he played just 10 games, followed by just nine this past season due to a six-game suspension to start the season.

The Patriots certainly have a connection to Hopkins in coordinator Bill O'Brien, his old Texans boss - but whether that's a positive or negative one is to be determined. O'Brien aside, we know head coach Bill Belichick's thoughts on Hopkins, as he has stated a profound level of respect for the receiver.

Will that be enough to get Hopkins' signature? We're watching him with the same intensity he's watching Patriots TV.
