Former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount has teamed up with four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Matthew Judon in the recruitment of five-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Following his visit with the Tennessee Titans, the free agent wide receiver is scheduled to visit New England later this week.

In response to a Patriots fan's offer to donate $500 to Hopkins' preferred charity if he signs with the team, Judon, tagged in a Twitter post, agreed to match the offer. Now, Blount has also pledged to do the same, stepping up in support.

Blount pledged his commitment on Sunday night via a Twitter post, vowing to match Judon's offer should Hopkins choose to join the Patriots.

New England has a significant need for a true No. 1 receiver, and the addition of a top-tier player like Hopkins would fulfill that crucial requirement. Throughout his early career, quarterback Mac Jones has not had the privilege of having a weapon with the immense talent that Hopkins possesses. The acquisition of the 31-year-old wideout has the potential to elevate the performance of the third-year signal-caller to a higher level.

The excitement and anticipation surrounding Hopkins are not only felt by the fans but also shared by his fellow players. Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne expressed his eagerness to join forces with Hopkins and have the opportunity to play alongside such a highly skilled receiver.

The Patriots might not have to wait for long to receive an answer, as it is anticipated that Hopkins' free agency tour will likely conclude prior to the start of the regular season.
