Tom Brady Dating Reese Witherspoon? Patriots Icon & Starlet Rumor Response
Tom Brady has "gone Hollywood,'' and maybe that - along with his high-profile divorce - is the origin of rumors of the former NFL quarterback Tom Brady having begun a romantic relationship with movie star Reese Witherspoon.
As it happens, Witherspoon is also recently divorced, and after a couple of weeks of gossip, Witherspoon has responded.
According to Fox News Digital, a representative for Witherspoon says there is no truth to the rumors that she is dating the ex New England Patriots GOAT.
"A representative for Witherspoon denied any rumor of dating as the rumors are completely false," the representative said in a statement.
Witherspoon recently announced that she was splitting from her husband Jim Toth after 12 years of marriage.
Brady of course also made headlines with his very public split from model wife Gisele Bundchen last year during an NFL season that would turn out to be his last.
Brady had been married to Bundchen since 2009.
Brady's representatives also confirmed to People magazine that the rumors are not true, and that Brady and Witherspoon have never even met.
Brady announced his retirement from the NFL on February 1, ending an iconic career during which he won seven Super Bowl titles and five Super Bowl MVPs.
The quarterback, who is eligible to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2028, is planning a career in television and is involved in a just released movie called "80 for Brady.'' That film stars Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field. There is no indication that Brady is dating any of them, either.
