Tom Brady & Josh McDaniels Patriots Reunion? Raiders Owner Mark Davis Rumor

The Las Vegas Raiders are shopping for a new starting quarterback — and owner Mark Davis reportedly wants Patriots ex Tom Brady to fill that role in 2023.

Tom Brady is an NFL rumor centerpiece - which, by the way, we don't think he much minds - and the latest gossip has him involved in a New England Patriots "reunion'' of a sort.

The Las Vegas Raiders, ready to give up on Derek Carr, are about to start shopping for new starting quarterback ... with Raiders owner Mark Davis reportedly lusting for Brady to do the job in 2023.

“Mark is embarrassed,” veteran reporter Jason Cole quotes an NFL source as saying. “He was (miffed) last year when the Chiefs and Bears brought so many fans to (Las Vegas, taking over the home stadium). ... He wants it to stop.

"He wanted Brady before when Jon Gruden finally turned it down and now, he wants Brady again. Mark thinks having McDaniels is going to be the key.

Brady is 45, less than a year removed from his brief retirement, and still leading his team into playoff territory, as the Tampa Bay Bucs will be riding him into the postseason.

But as he is currently playing on the final year of his contract in Tampa Bay. ... rumors of him coming back to New England (from no less an authority than "Gronk,'' of going "home'' to San Francisco ... are everywhere.

Is there a blockade to this idea? Las Vegas is ended a disappointing 6-10 season, but the Raiders are not lacking in talent, starting with superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. So Brady might be for it.

But ...

Part of this rumor includes a former Raiders executive saying that while Davis is craving to add Brady to the roster, but Las Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels - ironically, one of Brady's old coaches with the Pats - may not be.
