It's not a tremendously glaring issue as of now, but the Las Vegas Raiders need to be prepared for the uncertainty that surrounds the future of their wide receiver group.

The Raiders made a smart move by selecting wide receiver Tre Tucker in last year's draft, but they have to continue building toward that stability.

Looking at this year's draft, wide receiver Troy Franklin of Oregon would be a solid option if Las Vegas decides to go with a receiver early.

Franklin is everything you can want in a wide receiver. He has just the right height, standing at 6-foot-3, and is very fast, with a 40-yard-dash time of 4.35. The prospect is also quite versatile and can be a threat both outside and in the slot, which would give the Raiders options.

Franklin was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and the Associated Press All-America Second Team for his outstanding 2023 season. He finished with 1,383 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. He averaged a remarkable 17.1 yards per reception.

The star receiver, along with Oregon quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Bo Nix, helped lead the Ducks to the Pac-12 title game, where they narrowly fell to the eventual National Championship runner up, Washington. Oregon ended the season with a 12-2 record.

Franklin made a huge leap from his sophomore season, when he  posted 891 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, and was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team.

A four-star recruit out of high school, Franklin would play three seasons at Oregon, ultimately having totaled 2,483 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in 40 games.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
