Derek Carr was one of the main reasons Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams wanted to come to Sin City.

Before the 2022-23 campaign even came to a close, that opportunity abruptly ended when Coach Josh McDaniels declared Carr would be benched for for the season's final two games.

Carr is likely to soon be on his way out the door, which will officially end the short reunion in Las Vegas between the former Fresno State duo.

Raiders Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown sympathized with Adams when he joined "The Jim Rome Show" on radio row at Super Bowl LVII on Thursday.

"I would be a little concerned about what's going on," Brown said. "And look, I know as players, you're front office people, so we're not going to get that kind of intel, but I would think I would deserve a heads up ... before things went down. I understand that it was really Derek's decision to walk away because he didn't want to be a distraction, but just the thought of saying you're going to bench a guy with two games to go, who's given so much to the organization, I think is a little much.

"So I think if I was Davante, I would want to have a couple more conversations with Josh [McDaniels] just to see if I could get his mindset, pick up on something: 'You know he said this to me last year and that happened, so now he's telling me this.' You could play off that a little bit. I just think I would want to be a little more involved with what's going on."
