Raiders' Coach Edgar Bennett Talks Raiders WR Room

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders have been coming along together figuring out their roster through OTA's and Minicamp and will continue to do so when Training Camp comes along.
One of the position groups the Raiders are working on is the expansive receiver room. The Raiders added four wide receivers this offseason, including drafting a rookie wide receiver in this year's 2023 NFL Draft.
One of the newly added Raiders wide receivers is Jakobi Meyers, who has established himself as the No. 2 wide receiver for the Raiders.
Meyers was signed on March 16 as a free agent and has a great connection with Coach Josh McDaniels. He spent a total of four seasons with the New England Patriots. Last season, he played a total of 14 games finished with 67 receptions for 804 yards and a career-high six touchdowns.
Davante Adams also is in the Raiders wide receiver room and is ready for his second season with the Raiders. He finished last season with 100 receptions for 1,516 total receiving yards and 14 touchdowns with the Silver and Black.
Raiders wide receiver coach Edgar Bennett shared with the media his thoughts on Davante Adams this offseason.
"His foundation has always been his competitive drive" Bennett said. "It's his passion and love for the game. Every time he steps out on the field, he's trying to make the most out of each and every opportunity. His mindset has always been: 'I want to beat the guy who is across from me' and that's his responsibility, and he takes it seriously every single time he steps out on the field. I think when guys see that, it just creates more competition in the room because they're striving to be similar to him."
Edgar Bennett also shared what he sees from the Raiders wide receiver group with the media.
"It's a very competitive group," Bennett said. "The men are coming in day after day and putting forth a great attitude, great energy. Working their butts off to learn our system and put them in the best position to be successful."
