Hondo, how far away is Trayvon Mullen from returning, in your opinion? Chris Mueller
Hi Chris. He returned to practice today, and I would guess if not this week, next week, for sure.
Hondo, I think it is pretty clear that Derek Carr is the MVP of this team. If he wasn't eligible to win the award, who do you think has earned it besides him? Keep up the amazing work. Karen Kelley
Thank you for your kind words. If Derek was not eligible to win it, then no doubt Rodney Hudson. He is the best center in the NFL and a complete superstar on and off the field.
Hondo, are you surprised that Devontae Booker has seemed to take over the second running back slot of Jalen Richard? I like how he runs. Rick Barron
No, I am not. This offseason, I wrote that I knew the Raiders had concerns about the second running back role. They felt like Theo Riddick was going to win it. Jalen Richard did a great job fighting him off for the spot, but Booker took it. He has played very well.
Hondo, when the Atlanta Falcons waived Takk McKinley I was hoping we could get him to join the Silver and Black. Are you surprised Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock didn't want him? Thank you. Matthew Fernandez
First of all, I reached out to friends in the management of other NFL teams, and the Raiders did put a claim in on him. They didn't get him. The Cincinnati Bengals landed him. But the Raiders did want him.
Hondo, what does your gut tell you about Kolton Miller this weekend? Melissa Miller
He didn't practice again today. I would say very doubtful. Not ruling him out, but very doubtful.
Hondo, are you, shocker, that Gruden isn't getting the ball more to Henry Ruggs? Brent Venier
Well, people are game-planning for him now. That is the first thing, and they have had him a few times, but they couldn't connect due to timing issues. If this were year two of his career, I would be shocking. Year one, with injuries and no spring? Not at all.
