LA Rams Receive Multiple Compensatory Draft Picks

The Los Angeles Rams were one of the primary winners from Thursday's release of compensatory draft picks.

The NFL revealed its compensatory draft picks list on Thursday, and the Los Angeles Rams found themselves as one of the main winners.

The league has awarded the Rams four more picks in April's draft, as LA now holds three additional fifth-round selections and a seventh-round pick.

In total, the league gave 37 new picks to 16 teams.

Here are the picks for the Rams:

- Fifth round, pick No. 167

- Fifth round, pick No. 171

- Fifth round, pick No. 177

- Seventh round, pick No. 251

The Rams' four new draft picks were the second-most received by any team. But unfortunately for the Rams, they had to watch as their NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers led all teams with a whopping seven new picks.

Per the NFL, "for the compensatory picks awarded that were not based on coaching or executive hires, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks."

This is the category the Rams fell in after losing guys like Darious Williams, Sebastian-Joseph Day and Austin Corbett to free agency last year.

LA will now look to use these newly-found picks to its advantage when the draft begins in Kansas City on April 27.
