Rams RB Kyren Williams Moving Forward After Two Fumbles vs. Commanders: 'Be Better!'

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams lost his first two fumbles on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, but he's not dwelling on it as the playoff push continues.

Running back Kyren Williams has been a revelation for the Los Angeles Rams, recording overall 1,000 yards from scrimmage on the season and completely transforming the offense when he's on the field.

Williams is coming off yet another strong performance, surpassing 150 rushing yards for the second time this season and adding a touchdown to help the Rams beat the Washington Commanders on Sunday. However, Sunday's game also marked a not-so-great first of the season for Williams as he lost not one, but two fumbles on the day. He previously fumbled against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, but the Rams were able to fall on that one.

Despite the turnovers, Williams isn't hanging his head and is instead using it as a learning opportunity.

"If I'm getting the ball that many times, I gotta deal be able to have great ball security, keep it high and tight no matter what the situation is," Williams told reporters after the game. "Just being more aware, that's on me. 100 percent on me. I'm going to fix it and be better next week."

It's one thing for Williams to maintain confidence in himself, but of course, his teammates also still trust him wholeheartedly even after the turnovers.

"Just keep going, keep playing," quarterback Matthew Stafford said of Williams. "It goes back to fundamentals, right? Just continue to trust those fundamentals and he's as conscientious of a guy as we have on our football team. We all know the kind of work that he puts in and frankly the spark he gives our offense."

Most importantly, Rams coach Sean McVay's confidence in Williams has not been shaken in the slightest. When asked about the fumbles, McVay referred to them as "correctable things" while praising Williams' overall impact.

It's no secret that the Rams' offense often goes as Williams does. L.A. is 5-2 this season when Williams records at least 100 yards from scrimmage, but only 2-5 when he doesn't reach triple digits.

With a hugely important Thursday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints coming up, the Rams will surely lean on Williams once again.
