Giants Pursuing Rams DT A'Shawn Robinson?

The Los Angeles Rams could be losing another defensive lineman, as the New York Giants are scheduled to bring in A'Shawn Robinson on a visit.

The Los Angeles Rams have not shown any sense of urgency when it comes to making outside additions via free agency or even trying to re-sign their own players who have hit the free agency market.

After losing defensive linemen Greg Gaines to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Rams are at risk of losing defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson. According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the New York Giants are scheduled to bring in Robinson on a visit Monday.

"[Rams] DL A'Shawn Robinson, one of the top free agents available, is scheduled to visit the [Giants] on Monday, source said," Rapoport said. "The veteran could beef up a (New York Giants defensive line) that already includes Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence, among others."

Robinson is one of the top remaining interior defensive linemen available at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds, after recording 42 total tackles, two for a loss, and three quarterback hits in 10 games for the Rams.

Robinson's season ended prematurely after he suffered a season-ending meniscus tear.

According to Spotrac, Robinson's projected market value is at $8 million APY, with a projected contract of three years worth $24 million.
