Rams Pick Oregon State Tackle Taliese Fuaga in Latest NFL Mock Draft

The Los Angeles Rams were predicted to take Oregon State Beavers offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga in a recent mock draft.

The Los Angeles Rams are in an interesting position with the 2024 NFL Draft. On one hand, they could draft future replacements for key players like quarterback Matthew Stafford, or they could put an emphasis on getting him some protection up front.

In a recent NFL mock draft from CBS Sports, the Rams are slated to do the latter of those two moves, opting for Oregon State Beavers offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga with their first pick in this year's draft. You can read an excerpt from the piece below.

"Los Angeles is in an interesting position because it has older players like Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford, which could lead it to go all in next season. However, the Rams also added impactful, young talent throughout the 2023 NFL Draft. They could build around those players. Offensive tackle is a position of need for this organization."

According to Oregon State, Fuaga was a PFF All-America Honorable Mention in 2023 as well as being named All-Pac-12 Second Team for his efforts.

A native of Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Wash., Fuaga was somewhat of an anomaly in the current landscape of college football as he never entered the transfer portal after enrolling at OSU in 2020.
