Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp is known for his knack for finding the end zone, but his success on the field stems from his exceptional route-running ability.

While there may be a debate about Kupp being the top route runner in the NFL, The 33rd Team disagreed with that notion. In their rankings of the top nine route runners in the league, Kupp secured the No. 2 spot on the list just behind Vikings star Justin Jefferson. The 33rd Team cited his ability to catch passes in traffic stems from his crisp route-running.

"Some of his best 'contested catches' are a product of subtle, supremely timed route-running excellence," The 33rd Team Writes. "At the top of his routes, he’s peerless when it comes to friendlily presenting himself to the quarterback."

Despite not being the most athletic receiver, Kupp's route-running ability and exceptional feel for coverages are critical aspects of his game. Regardless of the defensive coverage, he can find ways to provide quarterback Matthew Stafford with an open target.

Last season, Kupp missed eight games for the Rams due to an ankle injury. Still, he was on course for another remarkable season, having already accumulated 75 catches for 812 yards before getting hurt.

As Kupp aims to assist the Rams in rebounding from a disappointing 5-12 season, he will once again be vital to the team's success. If the Rams' offense makes significant strides this year, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kupp prove that he is past his injury and can ascend to the No. 1 route runner on the list next season.
