Rams' Sean McVay Reveals Upcoming Due Date of 'Active' Son

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay believes there will be "some scary stuff" if his future son is "anything like his dad."

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay has been thrilled with his the fact that his extremely young and inexperienced team has "bought into" his mindset, but the 37-year-old is perhaps more excited about the birth of his son.

McVay recently revealed on The Rich Eisen Show that he and his wife, Veronika Khomyn, are expecting to welcome their first child to the world.

"I'm taking it one week at a time, but I do know that this guy is coming around October 24," McVay said smiling.

McVay, who's well-known for his chaotic but sharp flashbulb memory, explained what it could be like if his son carries more of his father's genes.

"That's some scary stuff if he's anything like his dad because he's gonna wear his mom out," McVay said. "He's an active little guy in his mom's tummy. He's kicking and moving, but I wouldn't expect it any other way. However, it's been a really smooth pregnancy and Veronika's been awesome."

The soon-to-be dad said that he recently went to the doctor and he and Veronika "are really excited to meet our little guy," but he's still processing everything.

"It still hasn't hit me, but she's got the nursery set up and ready to go," McVay said. "Sometimes I sit there and look at it and think 'this is some scary awesome stuff.'"

The Oct. 24 due date is just two days after the Rams' Week 7 at-home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and five days before Week 8's away battle with the Dallas Cowboys.

Two years ago, the Super Bowl champion hoisted a seven-pound Lombardi Trophy. In just a few weeks, he'll hold a similarly sized living baby boy.
