PFF Identifies Multiple Potential Rams Targets For First Round of NFL Draft

Pro Foot Focus predicts that the Los Angeles Rams could move toward bolstering their offensive line and seeking upgrades in the secondary during the NFL Draft.

The Los Angeles Rams are facing evident deficiencies in both pass protection and coverage, which have become glaringly apparent with the potential departure of standout guard Kevin Dotson, and multiple losses in the secondary.

Fortunately for the Rams, this spring's NFL Draft has an abundance of both big bodies up front and elite defensive backs.

With that in mind, PFF outlined the optimal 2024 NFL Draft scenarios for the Rams, considering their specific needs and the resources at their disposal.

Said PFF:

Two obvious weaknesses stand out for the Rams: pass protection and coverage. There may be an immediate need on the interior amid the potential departure of standout guard Kevin Dotson. Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson would be an outstanding fit at center to create a solid foundation with 2023 draftee Steve Avila.

If the Rams do choose a defensive player with their first-rounder, they could easily find out what remains from a deep cornerback class. Players like Terrion Arnold and Cooper DeJean would be an easy fit for a team that runs a ton of zone coverages.

All that said, the Rams' roster gaps extend beyond the offensive line and secondary. Linebacker, safety, and tight end positions also demand attention.

And with the Rams not expected to tender linebacker Christian Rozeboom, those needs are becoming even more evident.

Strengthening these areas is imperative for the Rams to realize their full potential in the upcoming 2024 season.

And by strategically addressing these needs through the draft or free agency, the Rams could emerge as deep playoff contenders.
