Baltimore Ravens President Defends Increased Ticket Prices For Upcoming Season

Entering the 2024 NFL season, the Ravens front office has decided to charge fans more money than ever to attend its home games.

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of the franchise’s most successful season since 2012 when the team won the Super Bowl, but success comes at a cost.

In this instance, the cost will come at the expense of Baltimore fans, who will now be charged more to watch the team play. Ravens president Sashi Brown spoke on the matter.

“We go off and on,” Brown said. “We raise ticket prices every other year just to keep up. … We will, to remain competitive, raise our ticket prices. The other thing we’re going to do is re-zone our stadium. Right now, we’ll have a season ticket member that might be sitting 30 rows back in the same section. Traditionally, everyone has paid the same price. We’re going to look at some variety in the zoning. That’s coming out, too.”

Baltimore may be charging fans more, but this season could be one of the most exciting in the franchise’s history. 

Thanks to the addition of future Hall of Fame running back Derrick Henry in the offseason, the Ravens may field one of the most dynamic run games in NFL history. Between Henry’s power and the agility of reigning MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, the team will be hard to stop when it decides to pound the rock.

Unfortunately, winning isn’t cheap, and the NFL is a business before anything else. Hopefully, the new ticket costs don’t price out any of the true die-hard fans, but only time will tell if Baltimore can live up to the new hype and price tag it has coming out of this offseason.
