Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Will Win Super Bowl Before Burrow, Hurts, Prescott, Purdy and Others - Cam Newton

Former NFL MVP Cam Newton says Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will win a Super Bowl before Cincinnati Bengals signal caller Joe Burrow.

The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals have one of the hottest rivalries in the NFL right now, with both teams boasting top-tier quarterbacks in Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow.

Both have proven themselves as two of the best team leaders and most prolific passers in the league, but both are without a Super Bowl championship.

And at least one former NFL MVP thinks Jackson will be the first of the two to get over the Super Bowl hump.

Ex-quarterback Cam Newton appeared on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast and gave his thoughts on the Jackson-Burrow debate, and as asked specifically by former Ravens tight end Shannon Sharpe who he thinks will win a Super Bowl first between Jackson, Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, Jordan Love, Justin Herbert and Dak Prescott.

Without hesitation Newton responded, “Lamar.”

“I think one thing that Lamar and the Ravens organization just has to figure out is how to win the ugly games,” Newton said. “It’s one of those situations where sometimes when I look at Lamar, it’s, ‘bro stop thinking.’

“Find a way to win the ugly games and we can talk about the other stuff later,” Newton said. “Patrick Mahomes has found a way to do that. ... I think for Lamar, once he figures that out, not to say that he hasn’t but everybody around [him].”

The Ravens made it to the AFC title game last season, and even hosted the Kansas City Chiefs - only to lose 17-10.

“It’s everybody finding a way to win,” Newton said. “That’s what made Tom Brady and the New England Patriots so dynamic.”
