Would Baltimore Ravens Make Mistake By Ignoring O-Line Early in 2024 Draft?

Despite needs at other positions, Baltimore's biggest need along the offensive line is one they cannot push off to the later rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Baltimore Ravens have needs at edge rusher, wide receiver, and even in the secondary. Their biggest need, though remains the offensive line.

Free agent losses of Kevin Zeitler and John Simpson, coupled with the trade that sent Morgan Moses to the New York Jets, has left Baltimore with three whole starting roles to fill. While the team is tight on cap space, they also only have two picks in the top 100 overall of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In short, the Ravens do not have a lot of resources to solve each of their weaknesses on the roster.

Despite their clear difficulties, Baltimore is expected to compete for an AFC crown due to having a two-time NFL MVP at quarterback, a strong coaching staff, and a defense that is still among the elite in the game despite from losses in the offseason.

For that reason alone, the Ravens should not look to ignore their offensive line hole in the first round of the draft. In a deep class of offensive linemen, Baltimore should do everything in their power to continue to build a wall in front of Lamar Jackson.

Remember, while the Ravens could use an athletic receiver on the outside, a full season with Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers should be enough to win on Sundays. Add in Derrick Henry to the backfield, and Baltimore has more than enough weapons to stay competitive.

That's not the case for the offensive line, and why the Ravens should do nothing but scout offensive linemen.
