The Baltimore Ravens will most likely be big players in free agency. At which positions? We know where they lack depth as free agency approaches, and that's on the offensive line, wideout and running back.

While the Ravens have been tied to top-tier backs since the end of last season, the Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec confirmed that the Ravens have done homework on the big names including Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs. Zrebiec noted that if the price is right for anyone, they could make a play.

Also mentioned as a lower-cost option at running back is Zack Moss.

Back in 2020 in an attempt to build some depth on the offensive line, Baltimore wanted to select guard Damien Lewis, but he was taken two picks before them by the Seattle Seahawks. Lewis is now available as a free agent, and the Ravens might still be interested.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars corner Darious Williams and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett have been linked to Baltimore as well. Barrett won't count against the compensatory pick formula, which Zrebiec noted is an important factor for the Ravens.

Baltimore and general manager Eric DeCosta recently avoided losing of of their best players on defense in free agency with a new contract for defensive tackle Justin Madubuike. The two sides agreed to a four-year, $98 million deal on Friday, with details being released on Saturday.

  • Signing bonus: $25 million (due within 10 days of signing)
  • 2024 base salary: $6 million, fully guaranteed
  • 2025 option bonus: $15 million, fully guaranteed
  • 2025 base salary: $7.5 million, fully guaranteed
  • 2026 base salary: $22 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed on the fifth day of the 2025 league year
  • 2027 roster bonus: $4 million, due on the first day of the league year
  • 2027 base salary: $18.5 million

The contract makes him the second highest-paid defensive tackle in the league behind the Los Angeles Rams' Aaron Donald.

Madubuike, 26, is coming off a career year where the Texas A&M product tallied 13 sacks - an impressive number for an interior defensive lineman. He, along with other top veterans like linebacker Patrick Queen were set to hit the free agent market this offseason with Baltimore's minimal cap numbers.
