Ravens defensive tackle Justin Madubuike has the season of his life this year. Under the tutelage of new defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald in 2023, Madubuike put on a performance for the ages and reached career numbers.

After being taken in the third round by the Ravens in 2020 out of Texas A&M, Madubuike entered 2023 in a contract season and wanted to impress. Impress he did.

Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Justin Madubuike (92).

There might not be a more prolific pass rusher from the inside in all the NFL. Madubuike registered 64 quarterback hurries from in defensive tackle position, eclipsing his total of 54 in his previous three seasons combined.

The McKinney, Texas native tallied 13 sacks in 2023, again eclipsing his total of 8.5 over the previous three years. He registered 56 total tackles with 12 for loss, 33 quarterback hits, and one forced fumble.

Madubuike made a statement in 2023 as an integral part of a Ravens defense under Macdonald that ranked No. 6 in the league in total defense allowing just 301.4 yards per game, No. 6 in passing defense with 191.9 yards per game, and No. 14 in rushing defense with 109.4 yards per game.

After playing for just $2.7 million in the final year of his rookie deal, it's fair to day Madubuike will earn a big payday as a free agent in 2024 and beyond. The only question is: will it be in Baltimore?
