NFL Mock Draft: Baltimore Ravens Reunite Ladd McConkey with Todd Monken

Will the Ravens capitalize on a historically top-heavy and deep wide receiver class? At No. 30 overall, there could be some appealing options available.

The 2024 NFL Draft is officially less than two weeks away. Holding the No. 30 overall pick in the first round, how will the Baltimore Ravens potentially address a critical need atop their board?

Whether it be in the secondary or adding protection for quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore has a real opportunity to add an immediate game-changer. However, are we not thinking enough about wide receiver here for the Ravens?

With Odell Beckham Jr. out the door following his disappointing season, plus Rashod Bateman’s failure to emerge as a go-to target, Baltimore might be right int he wheelhouse to add a premier wideout prospect.

In the latest mock draft over on CBS Sports, the Ravens add another pass-catcher for Jackson. Also, a reunion here between offensive coordinator and talented first-round receiver.

“Maybe a surprise pick here considering Baltimore has taken a wideout in the first round in two out of the last three years, but the Ravens have asked Lamar Jackson to look at tape, and he will fall in love with Ladd McConkey's ability to run routes,” CBS wrote.

If the Ravens went in the direction of McConkey, it would instantly create one of the NFL’s more shifty duos paired with Zay Flowers. McConkey’s bread-and-butter strength is his smooth route-running ability, and Monken has already shown how to use him in an ideal manner.

Even though many Ravens fans might want another piece on defense, or maybe an offensive lineman to replace John Simpson or Morgan Moses, but talents like McConkey make wide receiver a very appealing option for Baltimore at No. 30 overall.
