Lamar Jackson's Assessment of Ravens Offense - 'We've Been Inconsistent!'

The Baltimore Ravens' offense has been inconsistent through the first six weeks of the season and Lamar Jackson knows how good the unit can be when it all clicks.

The Baltimore Ravens offense under Todd Monken would always have growing pains, which has rung true through the first six weeks of the season.

While there have been flashes of what Monken's more vertical-style offense can look like, we have also seen the stuttering and spluttering that comes with a new scheme.

For quarterback Lamar Jackson, becoming a more consistent offense is of high priority.

“I believe we’ve been inconsistent,” Jackson said. “Up and down, we been showing glimpse of what we could be, and we’ve been showing what it's like what we been doing. We just got to be more consistent, we been doing good driving the ball down the field and scoring points, and we go from there.”

After defeating the Tennessee Titans 24-16 in London, the Ravens now return home to face a red-hot Detroit Lions team on a four-game winning streak.

Lamar Jackson wants the Ravens offense to be more consistent going forward.

Returning to the cozy confines of M&T Bank Stadium will be nice for the Ravens after they played three consecutive road games.

Jackson knows what Dan Campbell's team is capable of and is under no illusions about what is waiting for his team on Sunday.

“Two years ago we played them, it was pretty good as well on defense,” Jackson said. “They held us to, I believe 17 points, that was a good team there. They got a couple new guys, but we got to go into M&T Bank Stadium ready. It’s going to be a great game. Great defense, great offense they have as well. We just got to be prepared, be ready.”

The Ravens on offense have been clunky throughout the first six weeks, but if they can manage to put together a consistent performance, then the narrative around the team will no doubt change.

The Lions present a tough challenge for Baltimore, but the Ravens have more than enough weaponry to overcome it.
