Ravens Free Agency: 'Match' with Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers?

The Baltimore Ravens could pursue New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers in free agency this offseason.

The Baltimore Ravens need a wide receiver, but with a free agent class that isn't as "strong" or "deep" as some would like, they will decide who is the best fit.

In their article, CBS Sports named Jakobi Meyers as the best fit for the Ravens, matchmaking free agents for every team in the AFC.

Rashod Bateman is the No. 1 in Baltimore, but Meyers would be an excellent complement in the slot," CBS said of Meyers. "While the touchdown numbers haven't been great in his career, Meyers does have 1,670 receiving yards and eight touchdowns over his last two seasons."

Meyers isn't the No. 1 wide receiver many have dreamed of pairing with quarterback Lamar Jackson, but he would give him a reliable option out of the slot who could also play on the outside.

Despite never having a 1,000-yard receiving season, Meyers would bring proven production to the Ravens' offense. Even with the struggling Patriots offense in 2022 that struggled for consistency in their passing game, the former North Carolina State product was New England's leading receiver with 804 yards and six touchdowns.

What would it take for the Ravens to get a deal done with Meyers?

A recent projection from Bleacher Report predicts that Meyers would take a three-year deal worth $36 million.
