The Baltimore Ravens addressed a position need this past offseason, and improved their wide receiver room drastically.

Baltimore added Nelson Agholor and Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency and drafted Zay Flowers in last month's NFL Draft.

Whether or not that had any bearing on quarterback Lamar Jackson's decision to re-sign with the team is unknown, but there's no question he'll have more weapons at his disposal than in any of his previous years.

But his old favorite target should not be written off. All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews is still on the roster, and should still be an integral part of the Ravens' offseason this upcoming season.

Andrews has been not just a mainstay with the Ravens' offense the past several seasons, he's been Jackson's go-to receiver. Andrews has established himself as a premier pass-catcher in the AFC and one of the best tight ends in the league.

Andrews has made three straight Pro Bowls and in 2021 earned first-team All-Pro honors.

While the Ravens have unquestionably improved Jackson's targets at wideout, none of the new arrivals possess the same skill set that Andrews offers.

Andrews is still the team's best option for a large-body possession guy who can win contested catches against opposing safeties and linebackers.

This is new offensive coordinator Todd Monken's first season with the team, and while he's drawing up gameplans for Beckham Jr. and Flowers, Andrews should still be a main weapon on the field.

The passing attack is going to look very different for Baltimore in 2023, but at the same time, it should still look much the same with a Jackson-to-Andrews focus.
