Ex Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs Arrested For Assault

The former Baltimore Ravens standout defender was taken into custody in Arizona for an alleged assault.

Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion Terrell Suggs was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County jail late Tuesday per reports.

Suggs was booked on two charges - one count of assault and one count of offense against a public order. A spokesman for the jail told TMZ that the former Arizona State Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year has since been released.

Additional details about the arrest and the charges have not been made public.

Suggs enjoed a 16-year career in the NFL after being drafted with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Ravens. While in college at Arizona, Suggs won multiple individual awards, including the Ted Hendricks Award, the Lombardi Award, the Bronco Nagurski Trophy, the Bill Willis Trophy, and the Morris Trophy.

Suggs also was named a unanimous All-American in 2002, the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-Pac-10 and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.

The seven-time NFL Pro Bowler also won NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003 and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.

Suggs played in Baltimore from 2003-2018 before splitting time with Arizona and Kansas City in 2019.

For his career, Suggs tallied 886 total tackles, 139 sacks, 39 forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries and 60 pass deflections.
