After the NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens appear to be set for an outstanding season of football in 2023. They've improved their offensive weapons at the wide receiver position with the additions of Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers, and Nelson Agholor.

They also signed their franchise quarterback to a new five-year deal. So what's next? Offseason workouts, and they've already started. But the aforementioned quarterback is absent thus far.

While Lamar Jackson was in town to sign his new contract last week, he missed the Ravens' voluntary offseason program. And that's notable because with a new offensive coordinator in Todd Monken, Jackson and the rest of the offense have a new system to learn.

But according to Monken himself, there's no reason for concern, as he told The Athletic on Wednesday, as he's been in constant communication with the players who are absent.

“Well first off, we’re excited about the guys who are here,” Monken said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “I know Lamar’s working hard. I know the guys who aren’t here are working hard. They’re pros. When they’re here, they’re here. We look forward to getting them here and getting them up to speed to what we’re doing offensively.

“I think that’s probably the biggest challenge, but it’s football. When they get here, they get here, and we’ll get them up to speed.” Monken continued that he hopes Jackson and Beckham will report "in a short amount of time."

The team is currently in Phase II of offseason workouts, meaning they can work with coaches on the field, but not run plays against an opposing defense. The good news is there's still plenty of time for Jackson and the other missing offensive players to get caught up on the organization's new offensive scheme.
