'Come 2 The City!' Texans Laremy Tunsil Recruits Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to Houston

As the Lamar Jackson saga continues to unfold, unwind, and unravel, it appears more and more like Jackson has played his last down as a Baltimore Raven.

After failing to reach a long-term deal with Baltimore over the past season, the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson earlier this month. That means he can play for Baltimore for a guaranteed $32.41 million in 2023, and he's also free to negotiate a deal with another team.

Those deals haven't come, and neither have any offers.

Since Jackson used Twitter to inform the football world he demanded a trade from the Ravens on March 2nd, wild speculation has run rampant that Baltimore might honor his wish.

On Monday, Texans three-time Pro Bowler Laremy Tunsil invited Jackson to Houston.

Tunsil recently signed a three-year, $75 million contract and hopes to remain with the Texans for the rest of his playing days.

He also appears to be recruiting Jackson. The left tackle took to Twitter and tagged Jackson hours after the former 2019 NFL MVP appeared to be done with his current team.

Texans new coach DeMeco Ryans said that Jackson’s talents would be a matter they would have to consider.

“We look at all options for our team,” Ryans said at the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix Monday. “That falls into that category as well.”

The hurdle is high for the Texans or any team hoping to land Jackson. It would mean two first-round draft picks as well as meeting the former league MVP's current contract demands. Houston has the capital available with two first-round picks this season.
