The Baltimore Ravens won their opening game of the 2023 season, but in the process, suffered varying degrees of injuries to some key players. Coach John Harbaugh updated the conditions of all those involved on Monday.

The most severe, of course, is that of running back J.K. Dobbins, who, for the third season in a row, will miss the majority of the year with an injury. Dobbins suffered a torn Achilles on Sunday against the Texans and is done for the season.

With the injury to Dobbins, speculation ran rampant on social media about who the Ravens might sign to replace him, with most people pointing to disgruntled Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who recently requested a trade out of Indianapolis. Others pointed to former Chiefs and Browns back Kareem Hunt.

Harbaugh addressed that on Monday ahead of the matchup with the Bengals on Sunday. "We're good, like the guys we have," said Harbaugh. "Melvin Gordon is here for a reason. He's a proven back and I'm very very glad he's here. We don't plan to look outside the organization to add depth at running back. We love our backs."

Also injured on Sunday were center Tyler Linderbaum, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, and safety Marcus Williams. Of those three, the most severe is that of Williams, who suffered a pectoral injury that's expected to keep him out a while, but per coach John Harbaugh, "might not be a season-ender."

Safety Marlon Humphrey did not play against the Texans with a foot injury. Humphrey "has a shot" to play on Sunday per Harbaugh, but he added, "It's pretty early in the process."

Linderbaum has an ankle sprain and is considered week-to-week and will most likely miss Sunday, while offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley has a knee sprain and is also considered week-to-week and will probably miss Sunday.
