BREAKING: Ravens Select Boston College WR Zay Flowers With No. 22 Pick

On the same day the Baltimore Ravens locked up quarterback Lamar Jackson long-term, they get him a new weapon with the No. 22 pick.

The Baltimore Ravens accomplished their main goal of the offseason by signing quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term extension. Now, they celebrated by giving Jackson a new star receiver.

Boston College standout Zay Flowers is the third receiver in a row to come off the board. The Seattle Seahawks took Ohio State's Jaxon Smith-Njigba at No. 20, then the Los Angeles Chargers took TCU's Quentin Johnston at No. 21.

SI Draft Bible describes Flowers as "An undersized but twitchy athlete that creates separation up and down the route tree with his movement skills."

Drafting Flowers is the latest move the Ravens have made to bolster their receiving corps. They signed Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor in free agency, and remain in trade talks for Arizona Cardinals star DeAndre Hopkins.

"A rare blend of make-you-miss, with the speed to win vertically, Flowers carries an athletic profile that is noteworthy," SI Draft Bible writes. "Pairing this with an unlimited route tree and utility as a gadget guy, and we have a well-rounded skillset. The size element affects multiple portions of his game, but he can continue to elevate his draft stock come the All-star circuit and pre-draft testing."

Baltimore's lack of receiving talent has been an issue for a while now. With Flowers now in tow, that may not be a problem for Jackson and co. anymore.

The Ravens are on the clock again with the No. 86 pick in the third round.
