The Baltimore Ravens went on the road to face the Arizona Cardinals and secured a 31-24 win behind a strong all-around performance on Sunday.

While no one area of the team put up any eye-popping stats, the Ravens took care of business against a worse opponent and moved to 6-2 on the season. Wins are never a guarantee in the NFL, especially on the road. The Cardinals are certainly not on the same level as Baltimore, but earlier in the season, they defeated the Dallas Cowboys in Arizona in a big upset win.

Read up on everything you need to know about the Ravens' road victory.

Beating Bad Teams

One of the most important things that Super Bowl contenders do during the regular season is beating the teams they are supposed to beat. Baltimore failed to do that against the Indianapolis Colts earlier in the season, losing 22-19 in overtime in a game where the Colts started Gardner Minshew.

The Ravens went on the road against Arizona and didn't look past an inferior opponent, taking care of business and bringing home a win ahead of a big matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Gus Bus Strikes Arizona

Gus Edwards had perhaps the most impressive performance in the game, turning 19 carries into 80 yards and three touchdowns while also catching two passes for 14 yards. Edwards took over the role of starting running back after J.K. Dobbins suffered a torn Achilles in the first game of the season.

He has recorded 426 rushing yards and five touchdowns and has also caught six passes for 107 yards. There have been rumors that Baltimore is in the market for a big-name running back, but Edwards has gotten the job done through eight games.

Ravens Are Buyers

Baltimore is now 6-2 on the season and tied for first place in the AFC with the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Ravens could easily be undefeated if not for poor late-game execution against the Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Now, Baltimore is in a race for the one-seed and a first-round bye, and it will undoubtedly be looking to make additions before the trade deadline. Whether that's at running back, wide receiver, in the secondary or in the trenches is yet to be seen.
