Seahawks Request Interview with Cowboys Coach Dan Quinn, Two Others
The Seattle Seahawks are making their first interview requests for the vacant head-coaching position after relieving Pete Carroll of his duties following a 14-year run on Wednesday.
Per CowboysSI.com, the Seahawks have done what many expected and turned in their interview request slip for Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn on Monday. Seattle didn't stop there.
Per reports from NFL Network and ESPN, the Seahawks have also requested interviews for Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
The Seahawks are clearly looking to hire a defensive-minded head coach but won't be doing so internally.
Quinn, of course, was a Seahawks assistant in 2009-10 and then the defensive coordinator under Carroll in 2013-14. Quinn has led an elite Cowboys defense for the past three seasons, but he and Dallas suffered a shocking 48-32 playoff loss to the No. 7-seeded Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card on Sunday.
