Seahawks WR Dee Eskridge Suspended by NFL

Dee Eskridge, a 2021 second-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks out of Western Michigan, has totaled 17 catches for 122 yards and one touchdown in 20 career games.

After showing promising strides of improvement this offseason, Seattle Seahawks receiver Dee Eskridge will now have his 2023 season put on hold.

Per reports Friday from NFL Network, Eskridge has been suspended for the first six games of this season for violations of the personal conduct policy. It was announced that Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu is also suspended six games for similar violations.

It's anyone's guess what Eskridge could have done by violating the personal conduct policy, as this is a vague reason for a suspension that has no further explanation as of now. Regardless, the Seahawks will be without a guy who was likely set to be the team's No. 4 receiver this season behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Eskridge, a second-round pick by Seattle out of Western Michigan in 2021, has totaled 17 catches for 122 yards and one touchdown in 20 career games. He's added six carries for 69 yards.

“I think Dee Eskridge has done a great job at stacking days," Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron said Tuesday. "He’s had multiple days in a row of making the right play. Making big plays down the field ... he is consistently out there and had a chance to show his skillset, he’s maximized it. I'm really pleased with where he is at."
