WATCH: Seahawks QB Geno Smith 'Airs it Out' on OTAs Day 1

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is the fully-entrenched starter as the team began OTAs on Monday.

Day 1 of OTAs is in the books for the Seattle Seahawks as they begin one of the final phases in the NFL's offseason. With that in mind, the Seahawks' social media account released a quick clip showing off a throw from quarterback Geno Smith to running back Kenneth Walker III.

While the clip may look like a rather routine play, seeing Walker III show off his ability as a pass-catcher and tracking the ball over his shoulder is rather impressive. Walker III was a bell-cow for the Seahawks as a rookie a season ago, rushing for over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns while just totaling 165 more yards on 27 receptions as a receiver. If plays like the one shown above are ones that Walker III is capable of making, then it could be another dimension added to the Seattle offense.

For Smith, who is fresh off a contract extension, this offseason has looked much different than it did a year ago.

At this time last year, Smith was entering the beginning stages of a competition with Drew Lock to replace longtime franchise signal-caller Russell Wilson after he was traded to the Denver Broncos.

After a career year where Smith led the Seahawks to a playoff appearance, throwing for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, he will look to prove himself again, this time with a full offseason of knowing his place on the team.
