Seahawks WATCH: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Makes Unreal Catch at Training Camp

For the more-than-casual football fans, seeing Seattle Seahawks rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba make big plays is nothing new.

There's many reasons to get excited about the Seattle Seahawks ahead of this season, and rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba might be near the top of the list.

And on Thursday at the VMAC during Day 2 of Seattle's training camp, he showed fans that their excitement is well warranted. While blanketed by a pair of defenders, Smith-Njigba made an effortless one-handed grab with his left hand and walked into the end zone like it was nothing new.

Take a look:

Smith-Njigba's former Ohio State Buckeyes teammate and current New York Jets Garrett Wilson commented on the post and told Seahawks fans that this is only the beginning.

"Y’all have(n't) seen (nothing) yet," he tweeted.

For the more-than-casual football fans, seeing Smith-Njigba make big plays is nothing new, especially since he was under a major collegiate spotlight during his time with the Ohio State.

In his last fully healthy season in 2021, JSN was putting up unreal numbers while looking like one of the best players in college football. During his last notable performance, he totaled 15 catches for 347 yards and three touchdowns against the Utah Utes in the Rose Bowl. Before that record-setting day, he had already had four straight games with at least 100 receiving yards.

Smith-Njigba will now look to contend for Offensive Rookie of the Year this season, an award that he currently has the fifth-best odds to win (+800), per SI Sportsbook.
