Seahawks 'Perfect' Free Agent Signing: Dolphins OG Robert Hunt?
The Seattle Seahawks made the news by releasing veteran defensive duo Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs as Mike Macdonald's defense now needs replenishing.
But the Seahawks' offensive line will have three starters, Evan Brown, Phil Haynes, and Damien Lewis, all set to hit the free agent market, and should any leave, the unit will be worryingly thin.
But in a fun exercise, PFF has gone through the free agency talent pool and has picked a "perfect match" for each team and for Seattle, Miami Dolphins guard Robert Hunt is the selection.

"Miami’s Robert Hunt is looking for a payday after finishing 2023 with the sixth-best grade among qualified guards,” PFF writes. “He was one of just three guards to post at least a 74.0 grade in run blocking and pass blocking. He would be a welcome addition to Ryan Grubb’s new offense."
Hunt played 11 games for the Dolphins in 2023 (10 starts), played 78 percent of the offensive snaps (547), and only had one penalty called on him.
With the Seahawks' offensive line up-and-down last season, adding a player like Hunt, who has four years of experience and had back-to-back seasons where he started every regular season game for Miami (2021 & 2022), could prove a useful addition.
Hunt has a market value of $11.1 million per spotrac.com, which, if a contract is signed of such value, would put him inside the top 10 highest-paid guards in 2024.
Whether that would be too rich for the Seahawks to do is unknown, but Hunt could serve as a nice pickup for Ryan Grubb, given his offensive line background.
The Seahawks have a host of needs as we edge closer to free agency, but the offensive line looms as one area that needs improvement, and for PFF, that comes in the form of Hunt.
