Report: Alabama Assistant Coach Expected To Follow Ryan Grubb To Seahawks
For the large portion of Seattle Seahawks fans that also support the Washington Huskies at the collegiate level, the last few days must be cathartic.
Last month, Washington coach Kalen DeBoer left the program to succeed the legendary Nick Saban as coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. DeBoer, who just led Washington to a National Championship Game appearance, then proceeded to raid the Huskies' roster and coaching staff, and they are still picking up the pieces from his departure.
At the very least, the Seattle faithful is getting its pound of flesh in return thanks to the Seahawks. On Friday, the Seahawks hired Ryan Grubb, Alabama's offensive coordinator and DeBoer's right-hand man, to the same position.

The best part? The Seahawks may not be done. According to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg, Alabama offensive line coach Scott Huff, another former Washington assistant, is expected to follow Grubb back to Seattle.
The Huskies' offense has been one of the best in college football over the past two seasons, and outstanding offensive line play has been a huge reason why. In fact, Huff's offensive line allowed just 19 sacks across those two seasons, helping Washington post a 25-3 record in that time.
Huff was actually with the Huskies much longer than DeBoer and Grubb, since 2017, in fact. The Huskies have had at least one first-team All-Pac-12 offensive lineman every year of Huff's tenure, with projected first-round pick Troy Fautanu earning that honor this season.
Considering that the Seahawks' offensive line was up-and-down this season, landing a coach like Huff (assuming he translates well to the NFL level) could do wonders.
