Two numbers Steelers wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster, should be aiming for in 2019

JuJu Smith-Schuster is the Steelers top dog at wide receiver, and should look to be their biggest contributor by hitting these two stat lines in 2019.

70% reception rate

Last season, Smith-Schuster caught 73% of his passes as a second-year receiver. The outside and inside threat made catches all over the field, taking control of defenses and finding success at a number of places on the field.

This season should be no different. The goal should be at least 70% receiving. If he can be that reliable, it'll make life a lot easier for the rest of the receiving core, and especially for his quarterback.

10 touchdowns

It doesn't matter how many yards he puts up. With so many weapons on offense, the Steelers should be spreading the ball around on each play. What does matter is touchdowns.

Smith-Schuster remains the biggest touchdown threat in Pittsburgh. If he can reach ten touchdowns in 2019, he'll become a force on the offense without having to catch 1,000 passes.

Ben Roethlisberger is going to spread the ball to all of his receivers. There are too many of them to keep all eyes on JuJu. But in the endzone, he's still the top option. He just needs to come up with the results.
