Raiders to Interview Steelers QB Coach

The Pittsburgh Steelers interim offensive coordinator is being considered for an outside job.

PITTSBURGH -- The Las Vegas Raiders are interested in speaking with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback coach Mike Sullivan in hopes of filling their offensive coordinator position for the 2024 season. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Raiders are set to interview Sullivan for the opening.

Sullivan has been with the Steelers for two seasons but took over as interim offensive coordinator in 2023 after the team fired Matt Canada. During his time, he helped the team reach the 400-yard mark in two games, marking the first time they have done so since Canada took over as offensive coordinator.

Sullivan was the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2012-2013 and the New York Giants 2016-2016.

The Steelers are not expected to bring Sullivan back this season, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, due to the potential "awkwardness" of the situation after they hire a new OC.

For Pittsburgh, they are looking outside of the organization for their next hire, requesting an interview with Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson and are reportedly set to talk to USC Senior Offensive Analyst Kliff Kingsbury.
