Mike Tomlin Warns Steelers Fans About Pro Days

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't dodging school they aren't interested in.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are deep into the scouting trail, but during a break to attend the annual League Meetings, head coach Mike Tomlin gave fans a warning about how they approach which prospects to watch.

Speaking with media in Phoenix, Arizona, Tomlin warned for fans not to look too heavily into which Pro Days the Steelers attend and don't attend. According to the head coach, most is determined by travel, availability and the players who will be at each school.

Tomlin's warning connects directly with the team deciding not to attend Jordan Addison's Pro Day at USC and, instead, going to Iowa State. Pittsburgh didn't get one final look at a possible first-round target of theirs, but they did get to watch three players - Will McDonald, Xavier Hutchinson and Anthony Johnson Jr. - that they clearly have eyes on.

For the Steelers, it's about making the most out of the scouting campaign, and sometimes, that means leaving schools off the list. But it doesn't mean players from those schools are off their board.
