Former Steelers WR Antonio Brown Teases He's Joining ESPN

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout said he's excited to announce his new "partnership."

PITTSBURGH -- Antonio Brown to ESPN confirmed? The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver tweeted out he's partnering with the sports entertainment titan amidst the news of mass layoffs of some of the company's biggest names.

ESPN reportedly laid off 20 employees this week, including some of their biggest names such as Todd McShay, Keyshawn Johnson, Suzie Kolber, Steve Young, and others. There are questions as to how their football programs will look this upcoming season, and like other openings in the past, Brown has tossed his name out there.

Brown has teased these things before. He's tweeted out announcements of him joining the Baltimore Ravens and Fox Sports' Undisputed. Neither of those were true. As of now, the expectation should be this is another social media move.

As for what ESPN does plan to do with their football and basketball coverage, it's unknown who will fill what roles - or what will change - this fall.
