Steelers LB Cole Holcomb Suffers Knee Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker was in clear pain leaving the field.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Cole Holcomb became the second defender to suffer an injury in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans. Following a tackle against wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Holcomb remained on the ground with an apparent knee injury.

Holcomb immediately grabbed his knee after hitting the ground and was in clear pain. After just moments of evaluating him on the field, the cart came out to assistant him to the locker room. As he was helped up, teammates crowded around him to show their support.

Prior to his departure, he tallied two tackles in the first quarter.

Without Holcomb, the Steelers will turn to Kwon Alexander and Elandon Roberts at inside linebacker. Mark Robinson, who has played very little defensive snaps this season, is also available for Pittsburgh.

All Steelers will continue to provide updates on Holcomb's injury as the team provides additional information. As of now, it's not anticipated he will return to the game.

UPDATE: Holcomb has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
