Steelers Select Georgia QB in Latest Mock Draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers could add a quarterback in the latest NFL Draft.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of quarterback troubles, with questions rising quickly surrounding the future of Kenny Pickett. And one mock draft believes the team will bring in another first-round option to compete with their current starter.

Pro Football Network's A.J. Schulte believes the Steelers will find another quarterback in this year's draft, selecting Georgia's Carson Beck with the 23rd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

"Kenny Pickett isn’t the only problem with the Steelers’ offense… but he isn’t the solution, either. That experiment should be over soon, although the Steelers are admittedly slow to move on," Schulte writes.

"Carson Beck has been superb over the last few weeks of the season and has all the necessary traits to be a successful NFL quarterback who will be able to actually get the most out of Pittsburgh’s wide receivers."

The redshirt junior has thrown for 3,806 yards and 27 touchdowns in his college career. This season, he's thrown 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. He's also rushed for 105 yards.

The Steelers could take advantage of a deep quarterback class in the 2024 NFL Draft, leaving Beck as an option late in the first round. Beck is the fourth quarterback taken in the mock draft, with Jayden Daniels (29th) following him.
