'Ready': Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Already Back From Knee Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is planning to play despite his knee injury.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett says he'll be "ready to go" this weekend when the team hosts the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

"I'll be ready to go by Sunday," Pickett told media.

Pickett, who left Week 4 with a knee injury, suffered a bone bruise. He's wearing a knee brace at practice and will need to continue wearing one for the time being. As of now, he said there are no notable limitations to his game with it, but that it will take time to get used to.

As for playing, Pickett is ready to go. The initial diagnosis had the Steelers quarterback missing somewhere around three weeks, but he'll now return after missing none.

"[My knee] feels good," Pickett said. "I'm confident in the plan we have. By Sunday, I'll feel a lot better and be good to go."

If there are any setbacks, the team will turn to Mitch Trubisky as their starting quarterback.
