Steelers QB, RB Coaches to Replace Matt Canada

The Pittsburgh Steelers will utilize two coaches to replace their fired offensive coordinator.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers made the shocking move, firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada prior to the team's Week 12 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

So, now the question becomes, who will coach the offense in this AFC North showdown?

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are expected to utilize quarterback coach Mike Sullivan as their play-caller, with running back coach Eddie Faulkner helping create the game plan.

Sullivan was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive coordinator in 2012 and the New York Giants in 2016. He's worked with Pickett since the quarterback was drafted last season, offering help on the sideline during games. Now, he'll be the voice in his ear calling plays.

As for Faulkner, he's a candidate to be the team's next offensive coordinator moving forward. The running back coach is currently producing not one, but two runners nearing the 500-yard mark. Both Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris have also produced nine of the team's 15 touchdowns this season.
